tanzaku-mado
A narrow rectangular window made nearly in the proportion of Tanzaku, a strip of Japanese fancy paper (approx. 35 cm x 5.5 cm). Used in a tea-ceremony structure, etc. In many cases, a Shoji screen is often fixed for making a narrow rectangular Tanzaku-mado.
