furosaki-mado

Furosaki-mado is one of the names of windows based on the position of the window in a tea-ceremony structure. It refers to a window opened in the wall by the host's mat called Temaeza, opposite the portable hearth called Furo. It is helpful for daylighting and ventilation. This type of windows is Shitaji-mado in many cases.
