french window
Synonym:
double casement window,
French window sashes are attached to both sides of the frame with hinges or pivot hinge, and turn on the vertical axis. They are two-leaf windows that swing open or shut by pushing or pulling. A lattice inlaid with square glass panes is often inserted into the sash. The French window was the subject for one of Marcel Duchamp’s works.
