This Spanish Mission-style house was designed with an emphasis on healthy living. It is characterized by red roofing tiles, cream-colored walls, sash windows, and an assortment of rounded openings that add visual variation, such as the large arched window positioned high on the wall in the stair hall. Also notable is the window seat built into a niche on the east side of the living room, which consists of six sash windows and a broad bench with a low 315-millimeter-high seat and a tall 560-millimeter-high backrest, creating a cozy windowside space. Each of the house’s two stories has a sunroom on its south end. Four more arched openings can be found wrapping around the first-story sunroom. Every window and door is fitted with a screen matched to the shape of its opening, ensuring ventilation and natural light without compromising aesthetic integrity.
