Nahoko Wada (Architectural Historian)

Nahoko Wada was born in Niigata prefecture, and has a doctorate in philosophy. She has completed her studies at Keio University’s Graduate School of Media and Governance and has worked at the likes of The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura & Hayama, Copenhagen University, Tohoku University of Art and Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, and Keio University. She specializes in the history of modern Japanese and Scandinavian residential architecture. Her written works include “Water-related products and their development in modern Japanese housing,” (Kindai nippon no mizu-mawari) “Modern Houses in Scandinavia,” (Hoku’ou modan hausu) “Arne Jacobsen,” (the above published by Gakugei Publishing) and “Reflections on Scandinavian Architecture” (published by Yamakawa Publishing). She established the General Incorporated Association, “Access Point: Architecture-Tokyo” in October of 2016.
