
Hiroshi Naito
Architect and Emeritus Professor at The University of Tokyo. Born in 1950. Completed a master’s degree at Waseda University in 1976. Worked for Fernando Iglesias and Kiyonori Kikutake before founding Naito Architect & Associates in 1981. Held professorship at the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Tokyo Graduate School of Engineering from 2001. Executive Vice President from 2010 to 2011. Emeritus Professor since 2011. President of Tama Art University since 2023. Notable architectural works include the Toba Sea-Folk Museum, Makino Museum of Plants and People, Fuji Rinri Seminar House, Shimane Arts Center, Kyushu University Shiiki Hall, Kusanagi Sports Complex Gymnasium, Toyama Prefectural Museum of Art and Design, Toraya Akasaka, Takatamatsubara Tsunami Memorial Park and Memorial, Ginza Line Shibuya Station, Kyoto Kyukyodo, and Kioi Seido.
