Rose window
A large, circular window, typically found above the main entrance of Gothic churches, featuring intricate tracery resembling a rose pattern. Often adorned with vibrant stained glass, it serves both decorative and symbolic purposes. Also called the wheel window or marigold window in English-speaking regions. Since its radiating design resembles the Catherine wheel, the torture device associated with Saint Catherine, it is also called the Catherine wheel window.
