Thermal window
A semicircular opening from ancient Roman architecture, found in the upper sections of public baths. Typically divided into three sections, it was later adorned with moldings. Named after the Baths of Diocletian (305 AD), it was adapted by Andrea Palladio in the 16th century and later used in Palladian architecture. Also called Diocletian window.
