Tilt-and-turn window

A window with one fixed sash and one operable sash that can tilt inward from the top for ventilation or slide horizontally to fully open. The sliding sash moves parallel to the fixed pane, creating a wide opening without swinging outward.
Originally developed in Germany, its name comes from the German words drehen (turn) and kippen (tilt).
