This book is a compendium of 60 disquisitions that consider windows from various angles. The book was produced based on Windowology research conducted by the Tohoku University Taro Igarashi Laboratory (2007–2009). The texts written by a diverse selection of individuals, including Koji Sato, Yasuhiro Minami, and Takemi Kuresawa, are organized under the five themes of “Window History,” “Society and Media,” “Windows of Architects,” “Vehicles,” and “Art and Film.”
